Support Services
In addition to housing, the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation provides supporting services to all our tenants who require it. This support includes:
- 24- hour emergency alarm cover
- general support to enable tenants to remain living independently in their own home
- support to groups of tenants to enable them to actively participate in activities that are run on the estate
- managing support groups to encourage tenants with special needs to
remain independent and encourage them to discuss any concerns they may
face
- access to the Foundation's Health & Well-being programme
- welfare benefit advice and assistance with form filling
- sheltered housing support service to all tenants
- access to support facilities, including general advice for independent
living, arranging for additional support where necessary and advocacy
work with tenants to support their aims
Some tenants require a higher level of support and receive extra services such as personal budgeting and debt counselling, additional support because of disabilities and/or lack of alternative support including loneliness, depression, dementia/memory problems, and alcohol and substance misuse problems.
The Tenant Support Services on our estate is provided by a team of five, consisting of a Community Support and Resettlement Officer, three Tenant Support Workers, and a Tenant Support Manager. This team is employed to oversee the care, welfare and social well-being of all tenants, but particularly those who require special support identified by their support plan.
