The Countess of Wessex offcially opens the Westway Learning Zone

Photographer Stuart Griffiths talks to the Countess of Wessex about his body of work on ex-Service personnel

On 27 February 2007 the official opening of the Westway Learning Zone by the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation Patron, HRH The Countess Of Wessex, took place.

The Countess of Wessex visited several of the new tenants living on the scheme before making her way to the Learning Zone located on the site and managed by SOSF partner Training for Life.

After the official opening the Countess was able to spend time talking to some of the major supporters of the Foundation who were in attendance, including Stuart Griffiths a former tennant of the Foundation and former homeless Para. Stuart is now a renowned photographer who has built up a whole body of work following and photographing homeless ex-Service personnel.

The Foundation would like to thank all those who attended for making it such a memorable day for the Foundation and a special thanks to the Beef Kitchen Initiative (set up by former homeless ex-Service personnel) for providing such fabulous food and to Absolute events for all their time and effort in putting this together.
