Veteran’s Welfare Fund

The Welfare Fund is a vital part of our work and it ensures that we have the resources to help realise our Veterans’ hopes and dreams. When starting over again a little practical help can make a huge difference. For a younger person looking to get back to work an IT course or the purchase of a suit or work uniform can make a huge difference.  A disabled person can be helped to cook their own food if given the price of specially adapted cooking equipment.

In recent years we have:

• Paid for someone to go on holiday to be reunited with their family after over thirty years
• Provided disability aids and adaptions to enable vulnerable tenants to stay in their own home
• Bought a suit and travel expenses as one of our residents successfully got a job in the hospitality industry
• Organised a wide variety of trips and social events for our customers
• Enabled one of our most vulnerable customers to attend counselling when she was told the waiting list was six months
