Payroll giving

Payroll Giving is a simple, tax effective way to give to the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation from your pay. Giving regularly is an excellent way to help the vulnerable and disabled ex-Servicemen and women who benefit from the housing and support provided by the Foundation. Providing that your pay or pension is taxed through Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and your employer is registered with the scheme it could not be simpler. You authorise your employer/pension office to deduct regular charitable donations from your pay. Your employer then pays these donations to a Payroll Giving agency approved by the Inland Revenue. The agency then distributes the money to the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation.

This means if you pledge £10 from your gross pay, the cost to you is only £7.80 but we will receive £11.

The agreed deductions your employer makes from your pay are done before you pay tax, which means that you get tax relief included in your donation at your top rate of tax. Look at the table below and see how simple it is!
Your pledge (gross) Value with government's extra 10% Cost to you at 22% tax Cost to you at 40% tax
£.500 £5.50 £3.90 £3.00
£10.00 £11.00 £7.80 £6.00
