Who we house

653Housing for the disabled and the elderly

Stoll also houses a large number of older Veterans who served in our Armed Forces in conflicts that are now parts of our proud history.

"I think this is the very, very best place there is for the elderly. I wish I'd moved here years ago."

The flats at Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions are all mobility standard or wheelchair-accessible and can be easily adapted to specific needs as required.

Numerous facilities are available on the estate including a medical centre, a health and well-being room and a gym. Meanwhile, social activities are organised by residents themselves and there is a minibus service that allows our residents who have even severe mobility problems to enjoy an independent lifestyle.  Regular activities include keep-fit, line dancing, quiz afternoons, bingo, golf trips, boating holidays and social evenings. Residents have also helped to raise money for a new wheelchair-accessible minibus which is available for group outings, shopping trips or for individual use.

Meanwhile, all residents on our estates have access to services provided by the Tenant Support team who ensure our residents can live independently and receive the help they need.

In addition to the facilities we have on our main Fulham estate, we have also developed, and now manage, new family homes in Townmead Road and the Clem Atlee estate. These homes are specially adapted for people with disabilities. All our future developments will incorporate specially adapted homes and are designed to ensure that they meet what is regarded as best practice in the provision of accessible or "Lifetime" homes.
